Burlington Tommy Albert "Pete" Freeman, 75, passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at his home. A native of Montgomery County, he was born to the late Cecil Clarence and Hazel Irene Wall Freeman and was the husband of 23 years to Pamela Joanne Baggett Freeman of the home. Pete was a Korean War Veteran serving in the US Army. He was employed with CKS Packaging, Inc. and was of the Baptist faith. Pete was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed bass fishing, entering many bass fishing tournaments. He was a terrific father, grandfather, great grandfather and was a loving husband. Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Susan Harris and husband, Larry of Haw River, Donna Lewis and husband, Richard of McBee, SC, Pamela Duffy and friend, Dan of Greensboro, Rebecca Nance and husband, Damon of Mebane and Paulette Norton of Burlington; a son, Clarence "Spanky" Freeman and wife, Laura of Seagrove, NC; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Oakhill Community Church, formerly Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church, by Rev. Matthew L. Whitlow and Rev. Jeff McCann with the inurnment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the daughter, Susan's home at 2396 Freshwater Rd. in Haw River. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
