Tommie Belvin

Tommie Sue Brannock Belvin, 68, of 6110 Baseman Rd. went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Wesley Long Community Hospital. Ms. Belvin was born April 11, 1940 in Guilford, County to the late Thomas Greene Brannock and Mary Louise Smith Brannock. Ms. Belvin was a member of Mt. Hope United Church of Christ where she was a member of the church choir. Survivors include a daughter, Patti Abbott and her husband Patrick of Elon; a son, Tim Belvin of Whitsett; grandson, Eli Abbott of Elon; a sister, Ruth Lee of Greensboro; and two brothers, Jerry Brannock of Greensboro, and James Brannock of Florida. Tommie was preceded in death by two sisters, Dollene Harrison and Ina Baldwin; and a brother, David Brannock. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ with the Rev. Lloyd Spencer officiating. The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials can be made to Mt. Hope United Church of Christ, 2400 Mt.
