Tina Calder Loftis, 56, passed away on November 4, 2023 surrounded by her family, following a seven-year battle with Ovarian Cancer.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grammy and daughter as well as a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church for over 28 years.  Tina was born on July 8, 1967, in Alamance County, NC, Tina brought joy and warmth to the lives of everyone she encountered.

Tina had an innate talent for turning ordinary occasions into extraordinary events. Whether it was a birthday party or a simple gathering with loved ones, she made sure that every detail was perfect. Her passion for cooking was evident in every dish she prepared for her friends and family. Tina's contagious enthusiasm brought people together and created cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

In addition to her knack for hosting memorable gatherings, Tina enjoyed spending quality time with her family at White Lake, Hyco Lake, and Oak Island Beach. These trips were filled with laughter, fun, and precious moments that bonded their hearts even stronger. She found immense joy in watching her loved ones explore and experience the beauty of nature.

Tina was determined that cancer would not define her, making their family motto throughout her battle, “live life as better and not bitter” and strived to live her life based off of Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not onto thine own understanding; in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path”.

Tina's legacy extends beyond her personal life; she was an alumna of Graham High School's class of 1985 and carried with her the values instilled during her education. Throughout her career, she excelled in both leadership roles as a Retail District Manager and as a Title Clerk. Her dedication and work ethic earned her the admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Tina is survived by her beloved husband Joey Loftis, who she met and fell in love with at 14 years old, their children Korie Whited (Jason), Kacie Hicks (Tanner), and Kayla Whited (Nathan), as well as her cherished granddaughter Palmer Hicks and grandson Porter Hicks. She also leaves behind her mother Ann King, father Marlie King, and sister Rhonda King. Tina's love extended to her numerous nieces and nephews, who will forever remember the special bond they shared with her.
