Timothy "Tim" Stecker

Timothy John Stecker, 68, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born November 17, 1951 in Cook County, Illinois to the late Glen Stecker and Norma Heidtke Stecker, who survives. Tim was married to Chris Stecker for over 41 years.

Tim developed software for Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies for many years. He then spent 16 years as a teacher for the Alamance Burlington School System. An avid Bridge player Tim was proud to have just been awarded Life Master. Tim enjoyed woodworking all his life, but spending time with his grandchildren was definitely the highlight of his retirement.

Tim is survived by his wife; Chris Stecker, sons; TJ Stecker and wife, Angelica, and Will Stecker and wife, Bailey, grandchildren; Ellie and Liam as well as another grandchild on the way, his mother; Norma Heidtke Stecker, and sister; Dr. Pamela Marie Stecker. He was preceded in death by his father; Glen Stecker and brother; Jeffrey Mark Stecker.

The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
