Timothy “Tim” Dennis Allbritton, 58, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 12, 2021. He was born on July 31, 1963 in Alamance County to the late Isaac “Dennis” Allbritton and Betty Jean Bradsher Allbritton and was the husband of 36 years to Wendy Barker Allbritton who survives.
Tim was the Fire Chief with the Swepsonville Fire Department. He was a beloved member of the fire department and the community for many years, a true leader and was well respected by all. Tim’s fire service career started in 1981 with the Haw River Fire Department and then he joined the City of Burlington Fire department in 1984 and retired in 2015. He started volunteering with the Swepsonville Fire Department in 2001 and he began his tenure as fire chief in 2017. Chief Allbritton was a firefighters’ fire chief in the utmost of ways and was always willing to help out and was still riding the fire truck with the guys when he could. Tim attended Bethel Baptist Church; he was a very caring and loving man, a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Survivors other than his wife, Wendy B. Allbritton include his daughters, Ashley Williams and husband Brandon and Kimberly Waldron and husband Josh; his grandchildren that he adored, McKenna Williams, Brexton Waldron, Emery Williams and Boone Waldron; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Keith Allbritton.
The celebration of life service will be held 11:00am Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church by Pastor David Jackson and Pastor Justin Brown, with the burial to follow in Graham Memorial Park. The committal service at the cemetery will be by Mr. Jerry Sparrow. The family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm Friday evening at Bethel Baptist Church and other times at the residence.
Memorials may be made to the UNC Jaycee Burn Center, 300-A Burnett Womack Building, CB#7206, Chapel Hill, NC 27599. The family would like to thank everyone for their support during Tim’s illness and ask for your continuing prayers for them and for Tim’s fire family during this difficult time.
