Timothy Richard Conklin, 63, passed away surrounded by his family on January 29, 2025. A native of Alamance County born on March 26, 1961 and was the son of Richard "Pedro" Conklin and Jeanette Meeks Conklin, both deceased.
Tim was employed as a heavy equipment operator for many years and other various construction jobs always wanting to work outside with his hands. He enjoyed NASCAR, dirt bikes, gardening, hunting, whiskey, and fishing of all kinds. He held a special place in his heart for stray dogs and would care for them until finding them a home. Tim was never at a loss for words and loved to make people laugh, always finding the humor in any situation. Tim tried to live life on his own terms, wide open, full throttle, all the time, which led to some really rough spots in his life. He was involved in a motorcycle accident in April 2024 although he didn't have a scratch on him, he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed from the neck down. As tragic as it was, it gave him the time to be still and quieted his life enough to hear Jesus calling him to lay the struggles that had a grip on him for so many years down. Tim bowed his heart to Jesus as his Lord and Savior in August 2024. A true testament of God's amazing grace for us all.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Lee Conklin and his sister Jeanne Conklin Shields.
He is survived by his Nephew Andy Conklin (Becky), Great Nephews J.B. Conklin, Justin Conklin, and Brent Conklin, who he was so proud to get to watch grow into wonderful young men.
A private graveside service will be held by the family. Memorials may be made to Living Free Ministries 1230 Walnut Grove Lane, Snow Camp, NC 27349
