Graham, NC Thomas Doyle Vinson, Jr. age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2011. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 35 years to Judy Frazier Vinson who survives. Doyle was employed for many years with Central Motor Lines as a truck driver before retirement. He was a longtime member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church and an avid fan of Nascar. He loved his family and was devoted to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Judy Frazier Vinson of the home; son, Keith Vinson of Snow Camp; step son, Scott Raines of Graham and a step daughter, Jacqueline Dixon and her husband, Chris of Norfolk, Virginia; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Frances Strader Vinson; son, Robert Spot Doyle Vinson; daughter, Lisa Anne Vinson-Teeter; parents, Thomas Doyle Vinson, Sr. and Annie Apple Keck Vinson. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church by Rev. Warren S. Cash and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, 4178 Mt.
