Thomas Lane

Thomas E. "Pete" Lane 89, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Hospice Home. He was born August 4, 1925 in Johnston County, NC to the late Allen and Ellie Lane. He was married for forty-two years to Lillie Mae Shoe Lane. Pete had retired from Atwater Ford after twenty years of service and was a member of Beverly Hills U.C.C. where he had served as a Deacon. Pete was well read person with a strong interest in politics. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, Wayne Lane of Graham, Mark Nicole Lane of Beulaville, NC, Gary P. Phillips of Fredericksburg, VA; a daughter Maria McBride of Burlington; a sister Janice Pender of Micro, NC; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Mark Alan Phillips; brothers, Jake Lane and Ray Lane. The funeral will be held 1:00 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jim Owen. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 11:30 12:45 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
