Thomas Edward Coble, 64, of Burlington, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2025.
Tom was born on July 20, 1960, in Alamance County, North Carolina, to John H. Coble and Margie Lewis Coble. He grew up in the Pleasant Grove community and was a lifelong member of Cross Roads Presbyterian Church. A 1978 graduate of Eastern Alamance High School, Tom enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during his senior year. Following his service, he returned home and spent the majority of his life in Alamance County.
Over the years, Tom worked in construction, as a machinist, and most recently as a technician at Graham Tractor. He had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and spending time on the land where he grew up.
Tom was a good-hearted man, known for his quiet strength, patience, and willingness to help others, especially his friends and loved ones. His faith and family were at the center of his life. He began each day with quiet devotion, reading his Bible before heading to work.
Tom is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy Coble; daughters Heather Morava, Tiffany Morava, and daughter Angie Coble from his previous marriage to the late Shellie Saunders Coble; his parents, John and Margie Coble; his brothers, Sam Coble (Claudia) and Ronald Coble (Nancy); his sister, Lisa Crede (Henry); and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tom’s life will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his unwavering faith, and his kindness to all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 28, 12:30 p.m. - 1:45 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Cross Roads Presbyterian Church, 3302 NC 119, Mebane, NC.
