Thomas Carver

Thomas Keith Carver, 54, of Snow Camp passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at his home. He was born in Person County to John Thomas Carver, Jr. and the late Doris Harris Carver and was married to Ellen H. Carver who survives. Keith retired from Guilford County EMS and was a former member of the Alamance County Rescue Unit and Alamance County EMS. He was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church in Siler City. He is survived by his wife, Ellen H. Carver of the home; son, Jason Averitt and wife Jennifer of Burlington; grandchildren, Remy and Rowan Averitt; father, John Thomas Carver, Jr. of Burlington; brother, Dale Carver and wife Shannon of Burlington; aunt, Linda Ray and husband Joe of Snow Camp; nieces, Kerri and Hannah Carver and mother-in-law, Doris Huffines. He was preceded in death by his mother, and by his father-in-law, Lloyd Huffines. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Greg Burriss with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice, especially, Teressa Campbell, Crystal Purvis, Joanna Kelly, Lou Williams, Rusty Cook and Latosha Bowman, for taking such good care of Keith.
