Thomas Barber

Thomas Glenn "Bo" Barber, 67, of 3863 Jimmy Bowles Rd. passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mr. Barber was born October 27, 1941 in Alamance County to the late Thomas Hoyle Barber and Wilma Northey Barber. Bo worked for Republic Services for many years, attended Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church, and served his country in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife of 45 years Marie Barber of the home; a son, Chad Barber and his wife Brooke of Chicago, Ill; a daughter, Gina Barber Harrison and her husband Joel of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Wesley Bo Harrison and Addie Marie Harrison; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia Barber Greene and her husband Phil of Elon. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2009 at Shamrock Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Burks officiating. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
