Therwell Howard Wrenn, 90, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Moses Cone at Green Valley Hospital. He was also born on this day February 5, 1931 in Alamance County to the late Melvin Howard Wrenn and Faye Moore Wrenn, and was married for 66 years to Elizabeth Ann Workman Wrenn who survives.
Therwell retired after 36 years with AMP, Inc. and formerly worked for Glen Raven Mills for 11 years. He graduated from Altamahaw Ossipee High School and went on to TCA now Alamance Community College. He was a former board member of the ARC of Alamance County and former president of the Celebration Singers.
Survivors other than his wife, Ann Wrenn include his daughter, Deborah “Deby” Collins and husband Mike; a son, David Eugene Wrenn; sisters, Maxine Sharpe and husband Ray, Sherrion Danieley and husband Donnie; brothers, T. Clelon Wrenn, Sr. and wife Joan, Curtis Wrenn and wife Myrtie, and Carl Wrenn and wife Kaye; sister-in-law, Inez S. Wrenn; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Vance Wrenn, Sr. and a sister, Sarah Lee Wrenn.
The graveside service will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Bud Wrenn. Therwell will be available for viewing from 1 to 5pm Tuesday, and 8am to 1pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
The family would like to thank the doctors and entire staff at Moses Cone at Green Valley Hospital for all their loving care and compassion that was shown to their husband and father during his illness.
