Mrs. Theo Garner Baulding, age 96, of Burlington, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at her residence after a sudden illness.
Born in Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Wesley Garner and the late Martha Louise Caviness Garner and was married for over 70 years to John Furlough Baulding, who passed in 2011. She retired from J. Spencer Love Hosiery after serving many years in the textile industry and was a charter member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher.
Mrs. Baulding is survived by two children, Brenda Oakes and David F. Baulding and his wife, Barbara, all of Burlington; four grandchildren, Paige Mitchell, Angela Kutzer, John D. Oakes and Stephanie Gable; seven great grandchildren, Grover David Moore, Payton Moore, Cassy Kutzer, Kaleigh Kutzer, Wesley Gable, Levy Gable and Kinny Oakes; and two sisters, Melvina Garner of Bisco, NC and Stella Phillips of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Swannie Garner and Ann Brady; and four brothers, Everett Garner, Walt Garner, Waldo Garner and William Garner.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Joe Seay. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Monday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her son, David.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 2250 Saddle Club Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
