Thelma Wright

Thelma Christine Wright, 97, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at the Hospice Home. She was born on August 2, 1922 to the late Esther Rascoe Massey and Rufus Jefferson Massey in the Anderson Community of Caswell Co. NC.  She was a faithful member of Concord Christian Church.  She was a homemaker for her family and for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Aaron Wright and two grandchildren Jody and Kimberly Wright.  Survivors include her children; Javon Wright and wife, Sandra of Elon, Ava Joyce Oakley and husband, Jerry of Yanceyville and Cheri Smith and husband, Terry, one sister, eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Concord Christian Church by Rev. Norman Evans, with the burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church fellowship hall.

The family would like to thank the staff of Rudd Ridge Family Care as well as the nurses and staff at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell.
