Thelma Horner

Burlington - Thelma "Vickie" Hall Horner, 68, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 3, 1949 in Randolph County to the late Roy Lee Hall and Catherine Ragle Aldridge and was married to the late Chester Ollie Horner, Jr. who passed in 2010.

Thelma worked for Flynt Knit for many years, once retiring she became a caregiver. She was a member of Concord Christian Church; she enjoyed spending time with her family including her beloved dog Duke, hosting family gatherings and spending quality time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, William "Billy" Joseph Horner, John Lynn Horner and wife, Terry, James William Pulliam and Dwight Samuel "Sam" Horner; daughter, Peggy Sue Horner; grandchild, Shelby Lynn Horner and Kelli Coble; great grandson Christopher Dakota "Grasshopper" Ursery; brother, Carl Edward Aldridge and wife, Dianne; sister, Carolyn Fay Boggs and husband, Joe.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parent's and brothers, John Bailey and Dennis Hall.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Concord Christian Church by Dr. Dace A. Lewis, Jr. with the burial to follow. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
