Thelma Glosson

Thelma Lea Tingen Glosson, 86, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was born in Alamance County to the late Roy Lee Tingen and Eleanor Pierce Tingen Cobb and was the wife of 64 years to Samuel "Sam" Richard Glosson who survives. Thelma was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Burlington. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. Survivors other than her husband, Sam, include her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Alan Murray, Judy and Charles Dow; son and daughter-in-law, Garry Lee and Patricia Glosson; grandson, David Glosson and his wife, Amanda; granddaughter, Kristen Michelle Glosson; sisters, Lula Mae Routh and Ruth Rudd; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Katherine Tingen and her canine companion, Ginger. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Mark Alan Murray, a brother, Robert Tingen and her parents. The funeral service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ernest Beck and Rev. Don Swinney, with burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm to 1:45pm Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home.
