Thelma Allison

Burlington Thelma Ellington Allison, 88, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Peak Resources. She was born in Alamance County to the late Van Ellington and the late Exie Thompson Ellington and was married to the late Alton Isley Allison. Thelma was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church of Haw River. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Edna Allison of Rolesville, Gary and Renae Allison of Efland, Michael Allison of Efland; daughter and son-in-law, Donna A. and Marty Green of Efland; granddaughter and spouse, Hope and Jeff Dodson of Elon and great grandsons, Landon and Noah Dodson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, Robert Ellington, J.D. Ellington, Ab Ellington, Carl Ellington, Bill Ellington, Maxine Garner, Grace Register, Peggy McPherson, Margaret Pye and Louise Foust. The funeral service will be held 11:00am Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times the family will be at the granddaughters home. The Allison family would like to express their gratitude to the Homeplace of Burlington's Staff and Memory Care Unit for all their care, love and compassion that was given to their mother and grandmother.
