Theda Sutton

Burlington Theda Dare Perry Sutton, 86, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Hospice Home. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Theda was born in Alamance County to the late John P. Perry and the late Carrie Staley Perry and was married to the late Albert John "A.J." Sutton. She retired from Copland Fabrics and was a former employee with Heritage Casket Company. Theda was a member of Hopedale Christian Church that she enjoyed and loved very much. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Kay Sutton of Mebane, Mike and Nancy Sutton of Graham and Joey and Braunda Sutton of Kill Devil Hills; grandchildren, Tracy Oakley, Phillip Sutton, Shelby Smith, Shawn Sutton and Jennifer Sutton; step granddaughters, Tori Bailey and Teresa Lassiter; fifteen great grandchildren; three step great grandsons and two great great grandsons. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sister, Carnell Long; brother, William Perry and half brother, Lumoas Perry. The funeral service will be held 4:00pm Monday, August 26, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bob Cauthren and her grandson, Rev. Phillip Sutton. Burial will follow at Long's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30pm to 3:30pm Monday at Lowe Funeral home prior to the service and other times at the home.
