Terry Williams

Liberty - Terry Lee Williams, 57, formerly of Burlington, NC moved to his eternal home on Thursday, March 1, 2018.
Terry graduated from Western Alamance High School in 1978 and from Nashville Auto Diesel College, Nashville, TN in 1979. His early employment was with Bill Price Buick as a mechanic and service manager. Always fascinated by adventure, Terry took a six-month course in driving transport trucks, joined Thomas Trucking and enjoyed many trips from coast to coast. Later, he drove for 18 years for Wicker Services in Burlington, achieving a recognition plaque as a One Million Safe Miles Driver.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Smith Rich Williams with whom he shared much joy for 18 years. He was also preceded in death by a stepgrandson, Caleb Lockamy.
Terry was the older son of Jesse L. and Elaine Williams of Elon, NC who survive. He is also survived by a brother, Neil (Beth) Williams of Orange Park, FL, two nephews, Mitchell Williams of New York, NY and Zachery Williams of Denver, CO. Terry's extended family included Joyce's sons, Don Rich of Iowa, Michael (Abbey) Rich of Hampstead, NC; Joyce's daughter, Angelia (Carlos) Lockamy of Dunn, NC and Joyce's grandchildren, Macie Rich, David Rich, Preston Rich and Emma Lockamy.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Front Street United Methodist Church, 136 S. Fisher Street, Burlington, NC. Rev. Ross Carter will be conducting the service. Visitation in the Heritage Center will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Front Street United Methodist Church Youth Ministry, P.O.
