Terry Temple

Gibsonville - Terry Wenette Williams Temple, age 64 passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was born in Springfield, Missouri to the late Jack Dean and Wyoma Lipscomb Williams. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Arthur Ralph Temple, Jr.

Terry (Wenette) Temple graduated from Sanderson High School in Raleigh. She also attended Louisburg College and NCSU studying for a degree in Wildlife Biology. Terry eventually graduated from Alamance Community College with an Associate Degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design. Besides being a homemaker Terry had worked in several different places: GE, SCI, Engineered Controls Inc. and finally Sports Endeavors Inc. She was an avid arts and crafts person and had a big interest in knitting and sewing. At the end of October you could always find her at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair (SAFF) in
Fletcher, NC, and later riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoying the fall foliage before heading home. Terry was a big nature lover and was a Lifetime member of the NC Zoo.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Ralph Temple, Jr. of the home; daughters, Catherine Medley and husband, Garland of Greensboro and Rebecca Beard and husband, DJ of Gibsonville; 3 grandchildren, Gavin Beard, Kaybree Beard and Ellanor Beard; brothers, Garry Williams and Gregory Williams both of Raleigh.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, January 20, 2018 at McConnell Road Baptist Church in Greensboro by Rev. Matthew Tilley. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
