Terry Hutchens

Gibsonville, NC Terry Gene Hutchens, age 54, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 16, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 33 years to Darlene Wells Hutchens who survives. Terry retired from Lorillard Corporation after 36 years. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church where he served as an usher and was a member of the choir. Terry enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing golf and supporting his daughter in softball. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and son who will be missed by his family and friends. Terry is survived by his wife, Darlene Wells Hutchens of the home; daughter, Kyhli W. Hutchens of the home; father and step mother, Hilary J. and Ruth Morris Hutchens of Burlington and his mother, Cassie Louise Shoffner Hutchens of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Dean Hutchens. The funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Black and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
