Teresa McAdams

Mrs. Teresa Ann Carter McAdams, age 63, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at White Oak Manor after several months of failing health.

A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Harry Carter and the late Mary Thelma Gammon Carter and was married to the late Charles Willis McAdams, who passed in 1993.  Teresa was a retired registered nurse and was of the Baptist faith.  She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and her pet dogs.

Mrs. McAdams is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Don and Cindy Carter, Mike and Betty Carter, Jimmy and Terry Carter, Susie and Bruce Wicks, Mark and Dawn Carter and Cindy Carter; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special aunt, Tootsie French; special cousins, Shirley and Ralph Shelton and Peggy and Benny Hampton; along with numerous other cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, Gary Carter and Harry Carter, Sr.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 5, 2021 at Pine Hill Cemetery by Rev. Tim Robinson.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 PM Friday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
