Burlington-Teresa Mann Harris of Burlington, age 59, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, April 6, 2016 at UNC Hospitals after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 39 years to Dean Harris who survives.
Teresa was the eldest of three children born to Charles and Peggie Mann. She was a 1974 Williams High School Valedictorian and earned a bachelors degree in accounting from Elon University. Teresa was a retired CPA and partner with the firm of Thomas, Stout & Stuart. Following her retirement, Teresa worked at St. Marks Church as a financial director. She loved and served Jesus Christ at Grove Park Baptist and St. Mark's Church. Teresa loved spending time with her family, traveling and her dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Dean Harris of the home; daughter, Bethany Walker and her husband, Steven of Raleigh; mother, Peggie Robertson Mann of Graham; sister, Carla King and her husband, Larry of Snow Camp and a brother, Brian Mann and his wife, Rayanne of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews and 1 great nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Harden Mann.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm at St. Marks Worship Center by Rev. Bob Disher and Rev. Ben Bishop. The family will receive friends following the service in the atrium of the worship center.
