Burlington-Teresa Flinchum Floyd, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the Hospice Home. She was born in High Point to the late Walter and Esther Davis Flinchum.
Teresa was employed with Sears and Roebuck and later with Western Electric. She attended Lamb's Chapel and was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Lawson and wife, Donna of Burlington, Michael Lawson and his significant other, Kathy Gearsbeck of Florida, Joseph Lawson and wife, Linda of Madison, Jim Floyd and wife, Robyn of Greensboro; daughter, Kim Edwards of Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brothers, Russell Flinchum and wife, Sonya of Jamestown and Max Flinchum of Greensboro; sisters, Brenda Farlow and husband Lewis of Jamestown and Iris York of Archdale; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bobbie Reddick and Ruby Smith.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Kenneth Smith. The family will receive friends from 9:45-10:45am prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
