Tammy Darlene Tingen, age 46 went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of Peggy Adams Tingen and the late Bobby Odell Tingen. Tammy was employed for over 15 years with Stewart's Physical Therapy in Burlington. She was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church where she served on various committees and was a Sunday School Teacher for over 27 years. Tammy shared her gift of music as a member of the church choir, hand bell choir and the Hope Ensemble. She participated in numerous mission trips both in the states and abroad. Tammy shared her love of the Lord with everyone she met and the love of Jesus could be seen through her smile. She is survived by her mother, Peggy Adams Tingen of Burlington. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Glen Hope Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Redding and Rev. Bob Stephenson and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday evening at Glen Hope Baptist Church and other times at the home of her mother.
