Tammy Rice

Tammy Leigh Rice, 44, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. She was born February 5, 1971 in Fayetteville. She was a welder and volunteered at nursing homes to help others. She loved life and lived wide open and was known as the scratch-off queen with her lottery tickets. She loved all types of animals especially dogs. Survivors include her daughter, Devan McLamb, mother and step-father, Beverly and Ron Brewer; father and step-mother, Jerry (Faye) Banks Rice; son, Joshua (Samantha) McLamb; sisters, Tina (Phil) Hayworth, Candy (Paul) Jenkins, Leigh-Ann (Dan) Brewer-Henderson; brother, Jeremy (Maria) Rice; grandmother, Flora M. Rice, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Earl and Betty Allred, Braudy Rice, Levi and Betty Hester, Allen Hester and Sylvia McLamb. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Ron Brewer. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home.
