Graham, NC Miss Sylvia Diane Welch also known as "Sissy" or "Paw-Paw", went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 26, 2013 at ARMC. She was a native of Alamance County and lived at Ralph Scott Life Services in Graham for over 21 years. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Clarence O. Welch, Sr. and Lena Fisher Welch. Sylvia worked for several years with Starpoint a division of Vocational Trades. She was a member of City Lake Baptist Church. She was a loving daughter and sister who enriched the lives of her family and everyone she met. Sylvia was truly a gift from God and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her sisters, Pauline Hurley and Dalia Mae Travis both of Burlington, Lynette Baxter and her husband, Bernie of Floyd, Virginia; brothers, Clarence O. Welch, Jr. of Elon and Carl L. Welch and his wife, Anna of Santa Fee, New Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. The Welch family would like to thank the care givers of Ralph Scott Life Services for their love and support of Sylvia and her family through the years. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jimmy Wooten and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 pm on Tuesday prior to the services at the funeral home.
