Sylvia Harris

BURLINGTON- Sylvia Bryant Harris, age 72, of Oakdale Ct., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was the wife of the late John Elmer Harris, Jr. who died in 2013. Sylvia was a member of Beacon Baptist Church and a former employee of TST Logistics. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Melanie Nichols of Gibsonville and Jan Baker of Garner; a son, John David Harris and his wife, Karen, of Burlington; five grandchildren, Jacob Baker, John Baker, Erin Nichols, Daniel Nichols and Grayson Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, J. W. and Mary Rudd Bryant. The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Beacon Baptist Church by Pastor Greg Barkman and Pastor Michael Karns. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:45-12:45 pm Wednesday at the church prior to the funeral service and other times at the residence.
