Sylvia Dickey Boswell

Burlington - Sylvia Joanne Boswell, age 85, passed away at home on Wednesday morning, September 21, 2022.  She was a native and longtime resident of Alamance County and was the beloved wife of the late William J. Boswell, Jr. for 54 years. 

Sylvia was an avid gardener, great cook and loved her birds.  She was employed at Western Electric, Isley Hosiery and The Money Shoppe with her brother Larry where she retired.  She was a great babysitter to all who needed her, in her family.                                                                               

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Annie Mae Dickey.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to everyone.  Survivors include her daughter, Sherre Williams; son, Derek Boswell (Ingrid); four loving grandchildren, Seth Williams, Grant Williams (girlfriend, Janay Jones), Kelsey Boswell, and Chandler Boswell (fiancé, Hannah Stump); four loving great-grandchildren, Lynsey Grace, Lucas, Laycon Cole, and Memphis Cash; sister, Carolyn Lawson (Ronald); brother, Timothy Dickey (Kate) and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Larry Dickey.

The family will receive friends at the home.
