Susan Amelia Pierce

Susan Amelia Cole Pierce, 54, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center  surrounded by her family.  She was born on February 12, 1967 in Cumberland County to the late Lyman Elsmore Cole and Ella Lou Lawson Cole, and was  married to David Hamilton Pierce who survives.

Susan was a licensed cosmologist and was a hand finisher at Matthew Inc.  She attended Lamb’s Chapel, enjoyed cooking, gardening and riding motorcycles.  Susan will be remembered as a sweet, kind and loving woman who loved her family very much and adored her grandchildren.  She always knew how to put a smile on everyone's face and she always lit up the room when she walked in.  Susan was a loving wife, mother,  grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

Survivors other than her husband, David Pierce include her daughter, LeAnn Buchanan and husband,  Kyle; a son, Randall “Randy” Fesel; stepdaughters,  Amanda “Mandy” Pierce and Kassandra “Kassy” Pierce; grandchildren, Cassadee, Kyle, Jr., Aryia, Alijah, Alyssa, Alyha and Faith; a brother, Lyman Cole and wife, Vicky; nieces and nephews, Savannah Taylor and husband David, Jacob Cole, R.J. Richardson, Mary Richardson and Anthony Richardson; and her canine companion, Duke. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Luann Cole and a stepdaughter, Brittany Pierce.

The family will be having a Gathering from 2:00pm to 4:00pm Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory.
