Suelene Abbott

Mrs. Suelene Bunch Abbott, age 79, of Edgewood Place passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014 at her residence after several months of failing health. Born in Pickens County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mac Bunch and the late Ada Walker Bunch and was married for over 50 years to Oscar Vance Abbott, Jr., who died in 2012. She was a former resident of Cary, NC, where she was employed with First Citizens Bank and a member of Cary United Methodist Church. Mrs. Abbott is survived by her daughter, Vicki Street and her husband, Rex, of Elon; her son, Erik Abbott and his wife, Dena, of Luxembourg; three grandchildren, Tucker, Hudson and his wife, Jennifer, and Olivia; a great granddaughter, Harper; and a sister, Mozell Cavin of Fairmount, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters, Azzilee Higginbotham, Ruth Coester, Ovalene Cawley, Barbara Long and Louise Bridges; and three brothers, J.H. Bunch, M.C. Bunch and Frank Bunch. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 8, 2014 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Chip Wilson. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Jasper Funeral Home.
