Steven Ray Williams, 24, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Alamance County to Douglas Edward and LeeAnn Madren Williams.

Steven attended Western Alamance High School before beginning his career with UPS. He attended Bethlehem Christian Church when he was growing up and received Jesus Christ as his savior when he was 10 years old. Steven had a passion for anything with a motor and especially enjoyed racing Go-karts and dirt bikes and “he spent many hours working in the shop with his dad”. Steven loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, fishing and helping his grandmother with her flowers and loved her food bags. He took care of his granddaddy and grandmother and had a heart for people. Steven loved working for UPS and spending time with his sister, Hailey. His proudest moment was being an Uncle to Braylen. Steven was an organ donor helping to provide a better life for those in need.

Survivors include his father, Douglas Edward “Eddie” Williams (Christy Gerringer); his mother, LeeAnn Madren Williams (Mike Jones); his sister, Hailey Williams (Bryce Lance) and their son, Braylen Lance; his maternal grandparents, Steve and Patsy Madren and Danny and Becky Sutton; his aunt, Lorie Hall (Tommy) and his uncles, Joe Madren ( Elizabeth) and Jamie Sutton and his cousins, Bradley Hall, Ava Madren, Annelise Madren and Oaklynn Sutton. His canine companions, “Sampson” and “Kebo”.

He was preceded in death by his paternal Grandparents, Doug and Johnsie Williams and his uncle, Jimmy Williams.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Monday, March 31. 2025 at 11AM at Bethlehem Christian Church by Rev. Matthew Peele and Rev. Walter Jones with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6PM on Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home of Steve and Patsy Madren.
