Steven Reinhartsen

Burlington Steven Charles Reinhartsen died unexpectedly at home Friday, September 14, 2012. He was 61. Those Steven left behind who love and miss him are his wife, Mary Davis; his son, Karl of Greensboro; brothers, Lars wife, Gretchen of Portland, Maine and Paul of Charlotte, North Carolina and nieces, Rois, Maja and Zoe. Born in New York in 1951, Steven spent the last 40 years in North Carolina. He graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in education. He also earned Masters degrees in counseling education from UNCG and in theology from Duke Divinity School. Steven was a devoted Unitarian Universalist minister and served for over two decades as a career counselor to students at Alamance Community College. Steven enjoyed hiking, landscaping, jogging, golfing, betting on horses, and a good bottle of red wine. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greensboro Unitarian Universalist Church UU Church of Greensboro, 5603 Hilltop Rd., Jamestown, NC 27282 or to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held at the Greensboro UU Church on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 6 P.M. The family will receive friends at Steven's home in Elon.
