Steve Shook

Mr. Steve Daniel Shook, age 61, of 1518 Stonegate Dr., died Monday, August 17, 2009 at his home after three years of failing health. Born in Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Harry Shook, Jr. and the late Virginia May Johnson Shook and was married for over five years to Mrs. Leanne McSwain Shook, who survives. Steve was the owner and operator of Steve Shook Painting and took great pride in his work. He was an avid race fan and was very involved in Alcoholics Anonymous. Steve is survived by his wife of the home; a sister, Judy Shook Webster of Gibsonville; a niece, Holly Webster Rose; and a nephew, Tim Wayne Webster. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Bennie Smith. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
