A Special Life Remembered
Stephen Paul "Steve" Sutkowski, Jr. passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Steve was born on August 15, 1951 in Waco, TX to the late Stephen and Esther "Stella" Sutkowski. He is survived by his wife, Carol. Steve and Carol were married for 38 years.
Steve is survived by his step-mother, Ruby Sutkowski of Texas. He is survived by sister, Kay Hardisty and nephew Gregg Rybkowski of Connecticut. He is survived by his son, Johnathan "John" Sutkowski (Keary) of Colorado. His step-daughters, Valerie Sommerville of Texas, Shelley LaSalle (Steve) of New Hampshire, Darlene Smith (Gary) of North Carolina. He is survived by grandchildren, Keira Waller (daughter by Shaye) of Colorado, Emily Smith, Anna Clark (Jared), Polly Smith (Ralph), and Clara Smith. He is survived by two great grandchildren, Dean Smith and Alexander Clark. He is also survived by a close cousin, Judy Lathern, numerous other cousins, extended family, and friends including special family friend, Jesse Taylor. He was predeceased by his parents, a niece, Debra Rybkowski and grandson, Aaron Daniel Smith.
He was an avid music lover, guitar player, lyrist, and even a band member in his youth. He was known as 360 Steve by a local radio station. He enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, barbequing, experimenting with recipes and had a love of animals. He had a unique sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Steve will be cremated immediately and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to World Wild Life Fund, the Humane Society or charity of your choice.
