Stanton Stubblefield

Mr. Stanton May "Stan" Stubblefield, age 86, of Burlington, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014 after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Samuel Franklin Stubblefield and the late Cora May Stubblefield and was married to the late Doris Warren Stubblefield. Stan was in car sales for over 50 years before retiring from Dick Shirley Automotive and attended Grove Park Baptist Church. Mr. Stubblefield is survived by his two sons, Stephen Scott Stubblefield and his wife, Lila, of Winchester, TN and Stanton Alan Stubblefield of Burlington; a granddaughter, Anna Lee Stubblefield; and a brother, Frank Samuel Stubblefield of Burlington. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
