Sondra Jones

Sondra Hall Jones, 62, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Jones was born October 18, 1945 in Rockingham, County to the late Melvin and Irma Hall. Sondra was a retired school counselor with the Alamance- Burlington School system. She was a graduate of Elon University and received a master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Mrs. Jones was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, the 39 and Holding, Elon Study Forum, and a Ladies Bible study in her neighborhood. Sondra loved music and art and was a friend to all that new her. Survivors include close friends, Pam McNeely and her husband Max of Elon, Meredith Moore of Whitsett, Shelia Langley of Burlington, Jennifer Kuehn of Durham, Gina Jones of Louisiana, Judith Cox of Graham, and Susan Mounce of Eden. She was preceded in death by a special friend Jackie Ward. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Neil Salter. A private interment will follow in Eden, NC. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory in serving the Jones family.
