Shirley Tidwell

Burlington - Shirley Jean Wester Denton Tidwell, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Nash County on February 13, 1938 to the late George Wiley Wester and Annie Estelle Burt Wester. Shirley was married to the late Frank Wesley Denton and the late Rev. Clarence Junior Tidwell.

Shirley formerly worked at Stadler Ham's. She enjoyed crocheting and was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Denton Somers and husband Brandy and a grandson, Wesley D. Somers. She was preceded in death by her two husbands and her parents.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
