Shirley Shepherd Summers, 71, passed away Monday March 23, 2020 at the Hospice Home.  She was born April 22, 1948 in Alamance County to the late Lonnie Edwin and Mabel Terrell Shepherd and was married to the late Larry “Buddy” Summers.  Shirley was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and worked at Baby Needs, Inc.  She enjoyed her coffee, gardening, being outdoors traveling and sitting on the back porch.  Her real joy came from spending time with her family especially her grand children and great grandchildren.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Renee Glosson (Jerry), Gena Bradsher (Donald); granddaughters, Taylor Whiteley (Charley), Page Parsley (Wesley), Rebecca Lail (Charlie); great grandchildren, Emmalyn Lail, Wyatt Parsley, Walker Parsley( on the way); siblings, Debbie Maness, Eddie Shepherd (Jeanette), Pat Shepherd, Jerry Shepherd (Brenda) and Billy Shepherd.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; granddaughter Abbey Michelle Glosson; siblings, Becky Bowling and Mike Shepherd.

The private family only service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday by Pastor John Shields and Pastor William Jackson.  You are invited to watch the service live on Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory’s website.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
