Shirley Mae Wilson Horner, 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Shirley was born on August 29, 1947 in Dover, NJ to the late Kenneth O’Neal Wilson and Edna Mae Henderson and stepmother, Martha Marie Wilson. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her passion was taking great care of her family. She sacrificed much of her life for her family and she will be greatly missed by all.
Shirley is survived by her husband of the home, James Ray Horner; daughters: Michelle Mabee and Melissa Solomon; sons: Glen Stevens and David Stevens; siblings: Debbie Seashock, Earl Wilson, Richie Wilson, Kenneth Wilson, Jr., Peggie Michalko, Chet Wilson, Stacy Wilson, Tracy Wilson, Nancy Barberi, Scott Wilson, Sue Manning, and Chuck Wilson; Shirley was the oldest of 13 siblings; five granddaughters and two grandsons; four great granddaughters and four great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 to honor her at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Home of Alamance, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, 27215 in her memory.
