Sherry Satterfield Talley

Mrs. Sherry Satterfield Talley, 67, of Elon, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2022.

Sherry was born February 6, 1955 in Alamance County.  When her health allowed, she enjoyed gardening in her yard as well as crafting.  She was well known for her detailed handmade cards, which her family looked forward to receiving each special holiday.  A humble and warm person, she was deeply devoted to her family.  Her most important role in life was as mother and grandmother.  Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Junior Satterfield; stepfather, Walter Boyd, Sr.; and grandparents, Johnsie Sharpe, Lacy Satterfield, and Vera Satterfield.

Sherry is survived by her son, Josh Talley and wife Heather; grandson, Brock Talley; mother, Helen Elizabeth Satterfield Boyd; sister, Terri Satterfield Hatcher and husband Danny; nieces, Brooke Oakes and husband Chris and Lacey Warden and husband John; nephews, Shannon Randleman and wife Elizabeth; Chad Randleman and Stephanie, and Nick Hatcher and Hailey; and several great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held Monday, March 7, 2022 at 2 PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:45 PM prior to the service.  Interment will follow the service at Alamance Memorial Park.
