Mrs. Sherry Love Johnson, age 58, of Trollingwood-Hawfields Rd., passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Rev. James Thomas "Tommy" Love and Mrs. Selma Watkins Love, who both survive, and she was married for over 20 years to Donald Ray Johnson, who survives. Sherry was formerly employed with Bradco Transportation, Inc for over 16 years and she also was a past scoreboard and transponder operator for Orange County Speedway. She attended Wicker St. Baptist Church, was an avid UNC Tarheel fan and loved reading. Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband of the home; parents of Burlington; a brother, James Love of Saxpahaw; an aunt, Betty Lowell London of Graham; cousin Cindi Rev. Mark Mitchell of Graham; sister-in-law, Billie Whitaker of Burlington; brother-in-law, Ronald "Sonny" Johnson of Burlington; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Lisa Rowdan and Pat Adkins; and her loving dog, "D.J." The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Jackson. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 1:45 Tuesday afternoon prior to the service and other times at the home of her sister-in-law, Billie Whitaker, 240 Albany St., Burlington.
