Sherrie Wilkins

Sherrie Lynn Wilkins, 53, passed away Thursday, March 23rd at her home. She was born August 15, 1963 in Alamance County to Clair Owen and Patricia King Wilkins. Sherrie was a phlebotomist at Alamance Regional Medical Center for many years. She was one of the most loving and selfless persons you would ever meet. She enjoyed helping others and was involved with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Haw River Fire Department for many years. She enjoyed going to the beach and riding motorcycles. She was a happy person who enjoyed life to its fullest, especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her parents; daughter, Kasey Minor and fiancé André Franklin; sons Ronnie Minor and fiancé Kristin Wilson, Jerry Merritt and wife Crystal; grandchildren, James Wilson, John Wilson, Elijah Franklin, Jaiden Franklin, Micah Franklin, Kamden Franklin, Elizabeth Bradley, Brandon Tarbert, Emily Merritt and a brother Timothy Wilkins and wife Tammy. She was preceded in death by a brother Brian Keith Wilkins and best friend/cousin Tommy L. Gregory.
The celebration of her life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Pleasant View Assembly of God by Pastor Gary Loftis and Pastor Chuck Perkins. The family will receive friends following the service.
