Shelby Isley

Shelby Jean Shoffner Isley, 79, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Edgewood Place after several months of failing health. She was born on June 18, 1937 in Alamance County to the late Boyd and Roe Lena Cox Shoffner and was the wife to Billy Wayne "Bill" Isley of 57 years who survives.

Shelby retired after 18 years with AO Smith in Mebane and was a member of Living Word Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and mowing the grass.

Survivors other than her husband, Bill Isley include her son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Heather Isley; daughter, Kim Isley; grandson, Chase Isley and his fiancé, Amber Russell; sister, Louise Hutchens; brother-in-law, Ray Cottle and wife, Janice; special friend, Alex Richard. She was preceded in death by her parents and nephews, Terry and Jerry Hutchens.

The funeral service will be held 1:00PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bo Taylor with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7PM Thursday at the funeral home and other times at Tim's home.
