Mrs. Sheila King Riley, age 76, of Haw River, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Hospice Home, with her son by her side, after several months of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, she was born on June 6, 1947 to the late Walter Edward King and the late Christine Moize King and was married to the late Charlie Allison “Sonny” Riley, Sr., who passed in 1992.
Sheila was an avid gardener and loved watching her vegetables grow and become an addition to the many delicious meals that she would prepare for her family. She loved traveling to the beach and the mountains and was a diehard “Tarheel” fan. Sheila loved to complete puzzles that contained thousands of pieces and were most difficult to complete and was always excited to attend functions with her nieces, Brianna, Brandy and Cydney, great nieces and nephews, all whom she loved dearly.
Mrs. Riley is survived by her son, Ray E. Riley; grandson, Grant A. Riley; daughter-in-law, Holly Riley; her brother, Eddie (Pam) King and her precious dog, “Raven”. She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Charlie “Junior” Riley; and a sister, Tammy A. King.
