Sheila Majors

Sheila B. Majors, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31, 2018 surrounded by her family after several years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late James P. Majors and the daughter of William Albert Braxton, Sr. and Irene B. Braxton, both deceased. She is survived by her son, Shawn; daughter April Majors Billings and her husband Mike; beloved grandchildren Hayden, Audrey and Lucy. The joy of her life was time spent with her grandbabies. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Sandra Braxton Tate and brothers William Albert Braxton, Jr. and Charles Hubert Braxton. The funeral will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:45 PM at the funeral home prior to the service and at other times at the residence. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Crystal Bell for her loving care while Sheila was cared for at home as well as Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 .
