Sharon Byrd

Brown Summit– Sharon Warren Byrd, 56, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at the Hospice Home in High Point. She grew up as a happy and healthy country girl in Guilford County. She was the daughter of Kenneth Argus Warren of Reidsville, NC and Edna Gray Warren of Browns Summit, NC. She was married for over 31 years to Garland Byrd, who all survive.

Sharon graduated from Northeast Guilford High School in 1983. She then attended Rockingham Community College to pursue a career in the medical field. She worked for over 30 years at Greensboro Medical Associates and Greensboro Rheumatology, where her “work family” became family. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her yard and garden, and going to the beach and craft shows. But most importantly, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, parents, and two sons; Jeremy Byrd and wife, Megan and their two daughters Claire and Lilly and Justin Byrd and his wife, Brittany, who are expecting twins in December, Colton and Katherine. Sharon had numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and would like to thank Bill and Nancy Apple for their continuous love and support through the years. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Clarence and Lynett Apple and Argus and Virginia Warren, and her in-laws; Neil and Winnie Byrd.
