Sharon Cobb Allison

     Mrs. Sharon Lea Cobb Allison, age 71, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.

      A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas “Jim Tom” Cobb and Elizabeth Sarah Madren Cobb, who survives. Sharon was married for 52 years to Stephen Wayne Allison, who survives. She retired from Clayton Electric with over 20 years of service and was a longtime member of Union Ridge Christian Church, where she was a very active member of the Morning Circle of the Women’s Fellowship and a part of the Graham Chandler Sunday School Class. She loved to cook and was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister.

    Mrs. Allison is survived by her husband of the home; three children, Teresa Acosta, Tina Wrenn (Todd) and Chris Allison; three grandchildren, Cody Acosta, Preston Wrenn and Allison Wrenn; her mother; four siblings, Patricia Yarboro (Mike), Evangeline Perry (Eddie), Amanda Murray (William) and Jamie Cobb (Teresa); and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

      A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Union Ridge Christian Church by Rev. Dan Ficklin. A private family inurnment will follow. The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 10:45 AM Saturday prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the residence.

     In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Union Ridge Christian Church c/o the Women’s Fellowship, 115 Altamahaw-Union Ridge Church Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.
