Scott McPherson

Mr. Scott Lee McPherson, 57, of 2067 North Highway 62, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010. Born in Indiana, Pennsylvania with a childhood spent in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Scott had a open heart and a free spirit that resided in a number of places including California and Idaho before he settled down in the "green" state of North Carolina. Scott was a compassionate, reliable friend to all he knew and a loved one and loving father to a lucky few. Silent in his giving nature yet boisterous in his honest laugh Scott was a man who changed lives through simple actions. A life-long outdoorsman, and collector he lived hard and loved harder and was loved in a way we still can not express. Scott is preceded in death by his father, Frederick G. McPherson, mother, Emma Gertrude McPherson, and brother, Fred McPherson. Scott is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jessica Mary and Andy Schwinn, daughter, Rebekah Lee McPherson, and son, Jonathan Scott McPherson. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2010 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Mofield officiating. The family will receive friends 2:00-3:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be held Thursday February 18, 2010 in Oakland Cemetery, Indiana, Pennsylvania.
