Scarlett Elliott

Scarlett Leona Hinshaw Elliott, 59, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Carolina Medical Center after a long illness. She was born in Guilford County to Clay Carlton Hinshaw and Ruby Frances Westmoreland Crawley and was the wife of 37 years to Kirby Douglas Elliott who survives. Scarlett was a former employee with Amwins Insurance Company in Charlotte. She was an avid Braves fan, enjoyed playing softball and watching her daughter play softball and son play baseball. Survivors other than her husband, Doug; mother, Ruby; father, Clay include her son, Jeremey Douglas Elliott and wife, Amy; daughter, Samantha Brittany Meeds and husband, Chris; grandson, Declan Cole Meeds and a granddaughter on the way, Avery McKenna Elliott; siblings, Susan Williamson and husband, Ronnie, Jonathan Hinshaw and wife, Karen, Darrell Hinshaw, Jennifer "Sam" Hinshaw and her K9 companion, "Brutus". The memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. James Ernest Hinshaw. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the mother's home in Burlington.
